Recorded Lip Sync

For the recorded lip sync, a group of friends and I decided it would be fun to collaborate in a distinct way, where we would make our lip sync recordings in a similar theme to one another and then string them together later. I suggested we do a prisoner line up where we each state a name and crime, and we settled on that option. The recording session was mostly improvised, and I came up with a character on the spot (so do not judge me too harshly for the quality of that part of the project!)

I think it came out well, although 2D lip sync is still quite challenging. It is very tricky to balance the free flowing smoothness with the need for clear mouth shapes for certain sounds, and can result in choppiness. I think this is particularly clear towards the end of this little clip. I am happy with it overall, and I’m looking forward to seeing what my friends have come up with.
